She insists on helping me vacuum.
Which means it takes 3 times longer than it should to get done.
So…I used to love grocery shopping. But then I had a baby….
And now I HATE it.
I think part of the problem is that I shop at so many different stores, it’s such a pain in the a$$ to trek to all of them (with said baby).
So this month I made a list of meals and I am trying to get the bulk of my shopping done at the beginning of the month. It is now June 6th and I still am not done (oops). I have gotten what I needed from Sams and Costco and done a big grocery store trip but have a few other things I need to get.
I’ll go over what I like to buy from each store in a different post but here is my meal plan for June.
As you can see, I only planned 14 meals. My husband works nights so we do not eat a family dinner every night.
Pulled Pork (out of the Pioneer Woman cookbook)
Pork Chops x2 (we like pan fried, grilled or with a tangy sauce)
Baked Spaghetti (never made this but wanted to try it out)
Chicken, Broccoli, Rice

When Ikea came to Kansas City, my life was complete. I always knew I’d love Ikea even though I had never stepped foot in one.
It all started years ago when I saw a Raskog utility cart in a magazine. Oh how I loved it! I had to have it. I think I tried to purchase it online but couldn’t (this was probably 8 years ago-maybe you couldn’t buy it online then? You can now)
I’m getting off track. My point is Ikea is SO much more than furniture! They have office products, kids stuff, home decor, fake flowers/plants, real flowers/plants, bedding, bathroom items including towels, pillows, picture frames and a HUGE kitchen section in the marketplace. And the cherry on top….it is CHEAP! If you have one close and haven’t been, you are seriously missing out!
Here are my top 7 favorite IKEA finds that are not furniture:
And that’s it folks! My 7 favorite Ikea finds that are not furniture. Don’t get me wrong, I love the furniture too. Most of my son’s and our bedrooms are Ikea pieces, plus our living room TV stand but maybe that will be another blog post. 🙂
